Standing 6-foot-6 and weighing more than 328 pounds, Cam Jackson has built his football career on power, discipline, and relentless work in the trenches. From a small town in Louisiana to the Southeastern Conference and ultimately the NFL, Jackson's journey is a story of persistence, development, and dominance at every level of the game.
Born on August 8, 2002, in Louisiana, Jackson attended Haynesville High School, where he emerged as one of the state's top defensive line prospects. His rare combination of size, athleticism, and strength attracted major college programs across the country. Originally committed to LSU, Jackson ultimately chose Memphis, beginning a collegiate career that would transform him into one of the most physically imposing defensive linemen in college football.

At Memphis, Jackson steadily developed into a disruptive force on the defensive front. During his first three seasons with the Tigers, he appeared in more than 30 games and earned All-AAC recognition after a breakout 2022 season in which he recorded 41 tackles and established himself as one of the conference's most effective interior defenders.

Seeking to compete against the highest level of college football talent, Jackson transferred to the Florida Gators before the 2023 season. Facing SEC competition every week, he quickly became a cornerstone of Florida's defensive line. His ability to occupy multiple blockers, stop the run, and create opportunities for teammates made him a critical piece of the Gators' defense. In 2023, he appeared in 11 games and recorded 32 tackles while earning SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors following a standout performance against Tennessee.

Jackson's draft stock continued to rise throughout the pre-draft process. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he demonstrated surprising athleticism for a player his size, including a 5.17-second 40-yard dash that highlighted his movement skills and upside as a professional defensive tackle.

In the 2025 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers selected Jackson in the fifth round with the 140th overall pick. The Panthers viewed him as a powerful interior defender capable of strengthening their defensive front and helping establish a more physical identity on defense. His selection marked the culmination of years of hard work and the realization of a lifelong dream to play in the National Football League.

Today, Cam Jackson continues his journey with the Carolina Panthers wearing #99, carrying the same determination that took him from Haynesville, Louisiana, to the NFL. With his best football still ahead of him, Jackson remains focused on becoming one of the league's premier defensive tackles and helping bring a championship culture to Carolina.
